Balapitiya 103 KM (64 Miles) From Colombo

Balapitiya is a coastal town, in south west Sri Lanka. It is located in the Southern Province in Sri Lanka. Situated 80 km south of Colombo, about a two-hour drive from the capital. It is the nearest town to the Maduganga River.

Coastal hangout with fine sand & rocky outcrops, plus a rustic outdoor restaurant & a modern resort.

The Madu Ganga is a minor watercourse which originates near Uragasmanhandiya in the Galle District of Sri Lanka, before widening into the Madu Ganga Lake at Balapitiya. The river then flows for a further a 4.4 km before draining into the Indian Ocean.

Serene stretch of shoreline with fine sand & large, picturesque boulders, plus lodging & eateries.
